Phil's new employer is the University of Texas, Austin. Go Longhorns.  He's the Assoc. Vice Provost for Learning Sciences.  The groups associated with Continuing & Innovative Education (CIE) and the Center for Teaching and Learning are being re-envisioned around learning sciences and distributed online learning. Phil's part of this process includes the "technology stack" underpinning this enterprise, learning analytics, learning technology architectures, digital tools, learning design and pedagogical best practices, and finally project management.

This is all in flux at the moment (Dec. 2014). Check back to see how it plays out.

It's a new adventure.

During my time at UQ I was fortunate enough to be involved in a variety of building, learning space, and non-formal learning environment projects.  The image above is the LIB, built by Richard Kirk Architects, and whose top floor was my lab, the Centre for Educational Innovation & Technology (CEIT).
